As the sun rises, darkness is filtered out, producing more reddish hues. These warm colours indicate beginning of new day.

Morning

Morning (Color temp – 3500K)

As the sun rises in the sky, the colour temperature of light moves from warm to neutral hues. An increase in brightness and freshness kicks in.

Noon

Noon (Color temp – 5500K)

As the sun sits at its highest point, it produces the most neutral or white light. This causes the body to secrete dopamine which makes a person alert and active.

Afternoon

Afternoon (Color temp – 3500K)

As the sun moves downward, the colour temperature of light moves from white to neutral hues.

Evening

Evening (Color temp – 2000K)

As the sun moves closer to the horizon, blue light is filtered out, producing more reddish hues.  These warm colours indicate that the day is nearing its end.
